Some really good ideas to try implementing!

This is a great book for Reiki practitioners to get. It has many ideas in it for things you can try, to help improve your Reiki. They let you know that not all of these suggestions will work for all people. You pretty much look at them and try the things that appeal to you, and maybe some others, just to see what happens. The great thing about it is that almost all of them are things you can try yourself; you don't need to go out and buy things in order to try them. I have tried two of the things so far, and they were both very helpful; I'll be trying more of the things.

I really enjoy books that give you tips and suggestions for different things you can do with energy, and this book is really good in that way. Also, the book gave me a really good feeling. It's not really expensive; I think most people would probably find something in here they would enjoy and that would help them. I recommend this one!

A really good read - 4.5 stars, really

This book is more like a "devotional" for those that practice Reiki.

Its individual chapters are put together well, describing the "Tool" and uses for it. The book's parts are:

1. Attitude Tools (Gratitude, Giving, Present Moment Awareness, Intention, and Detachment);
2. Meditation Tools (Basic relaxation, White Light Meditation, Glass Bottle Meditation, Heart Process [I really liked this one], and Centering [a chakra exercise])
3. Verbal Tools (Affirmations [with a list given], Jai Reiki & Cancel,Cancel, and Reiki Prayer)
4. Physical Tools (Salt Water Bath, Tibetan Exercises, Candle Process [really neat], Aura Cleansing, Motherly Touch)
5. Intention Tools (Divine Reiki, Universal Bank Account [a proactive Reiki approach], and Learning).

These "chapters" are given in a devotional format. If you take the time to read, practice, reflect, and digest, this book is worth it. I took it upon me to do one chapter a week in a random fashion. I didn't do all the chapters, but the ones I did were worth it!

I gave it 4 stars because at the end of the book, there was a non-linked Table of Contents (which I thought was odd), and dissociated pictures and lists. This wasn't really a 1-star discount, so I would (if I could) give it 4.5 stars.

A worthy addition to your library.

About the Author
A lifetime Mopar and computer nut, Richard Nedbal sold his computer business to "retire," and promptly opened Mopar Engines West. Little did he know that he would be busier in retirement than he was during his career. Word got out that Mopar Engines West (MEW) was building Hemis that were just a little more expensive than a crate Hemi, yet were very reliable even in race dress. Many racers couldn't believe that Rich's customers didn't seem to work on their engines at the track. Rich builds all variations of Mopar engines from Slant-6s to all-out blown Hemis.

very well written

I have not read the entire book yet, but I would like to Rich for writing it in a very easy to read format. Rich did not add any additional clutter to it, which keeps me from jumping ahead. So many of these books tend to go off track a bit and then I just put them aside and never finish them. It is an informative book on how to build second generation Hemis......

Excellent information on Hemi engines

This book is an excellent source of information on the 426 Hemi. Anyone who is thinking of building or buying a 426 Hemi should read this book first. The book also has a good section on retrofitting EFI to older engines that is valuable on its own. There is also a very good section covering high performance engine assembly and machine work that is applicable to any high output V8.

The cover indicates that it covers "Street to Top Fuel" however there is very little discussion of nitro engines, except for a few photos of valve gear. The focus is on assembly techniques, proven combinations and proper selection of components to build reliable, powerful Hemi engines. Except for a few typos the book is well done with many useful tips. I recommend it.

I spent over a year writing this book, collecting stories from spirits with a medium. I enjoyed writing about the paranormal and learning along the way what happened after we die. I also learned about other entities and what they do. Angles that are around us and in Heaven and Fallen Angels that are still here on earth. My name is David Guddy. I live in Ohio and I lived in a haunted house at the time I wrote this book. I have had many experiences in my house and throughout my life and I wanted to share them with you. I am a Christian and have a strong belief in God, this has helped me in writing this book. I believe we are surrounded by spirits, demons and angels and if we pay attention we can see evidence of them all around us. Hope you enjoy reading about what I have experienced. Thank you.

Interesting Fiction

Author attempts to pass off obvious fictional "haunted" house where he manages to meet with souls of the dead including Michael Jackson, Satan and Greek Gods. Would be better if Author didn't attempt to pass off this interesting book as nonfiction while it is obviously his day dreams.

This book is a must read for anyone who wonders about life after death. These spirits did not choose to go to the light and they give detailed information about their deaths, current state and the reasons they chose to remain earthbound. This book gives a perspective like none other. It answers questions that you never even thought to ask. The author gives the utmost respect to the dead. It is not a book that you will be able to put down easily.

About the Author

W. James Potter, professor at the University of California at Santa Barbara, holds one PhD in Communication Studies and another in Instructional Technology. He has been teaching media courses for more than two decades in the areas of effects on individuals and society, content narratives, structure and economics of media industries, advertising, journalism, programming, and production. The book's only fault is that it is too comprehensive

Potter uses sterling logic to dissect, break down, and organize the various component parts of modern media. He then provides excellent, well-referenced, historical, economic, and political context for each. The author then analyzes how these influences shape the media content that we consume every day, and offers helpful online activities and downloadable resources to explore the issues. I used the book as a basis for a media course that I taught at a University in Korea and it was indispensable.

An interesting read

This book has a lot of good and interesting information about media consumption and gives the reader a good idea of how the media affects our thinking and perception of the world around us. It also gives insight into the media world and the schemes they use to grab our attention. It is easy to read but is not a thrilling read.
